Lessons from Covid-19 we should hold onto

Whilst some of us are starting to get used to the "new normal" lifestyle, others are still struggling and resisting the changes we are meant to go through to reach a certain level of balance on all levels, in our daily practices, our habits, our interactions and our overall way of life. The psychological balance is required so we can move on midst the Pandemic.
Covid-19 has given us lifelong lessons we should not let go of, although they might seem hard now, they are beneficial for future generations.
CoronaVirus hit the world in late 2019 and quickly turned into a global Pandemic that changed our priorities in life, our goals and our dreams. It was an eye-opener when it comes to the fragility of preserving our race, human life is in fact fragile. Covid-19 was a turning point in our cockiness, we almost thought that we were unbeatable and untouchable, until an invisible virus put us back in our place.
This is one of the most important lessons to sustain post Covid-19, the humility we gained as an entire race, the Pandemic has changed our life perspective, and we need to seize the opportunity to change our society for the better. They say "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade".
Covid-19 exposed us, exposed our superficial way of life, it took off the masks and the clothing, today we are naked in front of the truth, we are a vulnerable race facing the great power of nature, and we covered our weaknesses with brands and belongings, over time we became envious and hateful, we think that goals justify the means, we became materialistic and greedy. Only old age and ultimately death, should have been enough for us to keep our feet on the ground and gracefully accept that no matter how many cover-ups we invent, like plastic surgery, enhancement procedures and products, aging and dying are part of the course of life and the "natural world" and we are only a small part of it.
The Pandemic will soon be over, like any other virus it has an expiry date, but meanwhile with the orders of self-isolation and quarantine, we had enough time for ramification, re-evaluation of our life and simplifying it, we learned that we can get by with much less than we used to, appreciating local vacations instead of taking international trips, learning about foreign countries when we've missed out on the gems we have in our own countries, we learned that the health sector should be rewarded much more than the entertainment and sports sectors, not because sports and entertainment are not important but because the health workers are the heroes of this Era. Parents learned that home-schooling the kids and online teaching can be fun and refreshing, it is not as bad as it sounded, just like working from home although it has its perks, isn't as fun as it sounded back when you were "stuck" at the office.
In some ways, Covid-19 Pandemic has reformed us, we are all in a rehab global center, we learned how caged animals feel, Covid-19 took us back to the roots, to when life was simpler vanity was not a virtue, interpersonal relationships, family, friendships and loved-ones are our safety net, wealth and consumption are worthless, health is the only wealth.
